Abstract

This paper aims to highlight the role of small and medium enterprises as a strategic choice in achieving sustainable development, with high and great expectations in this field. Given the changes that have taken place in the global economic scene, small and medium enterprises have taken a leading role in supporting development efforts. Like other countries, Algeria has adopted a new policy of small and medium-sized enterprises as the appropriate model for sustainable local development, which is the cornerstone of economic growth. Therefore, supporting and developing such institutions is one of the essential pillars of sustainable development.
